Mr Harris does it again (he’s clearly on my wave length when it comes to random!)

Well I went into the optician yesterday to see about contact lenses for occasional use as to be able to wear them while playing Airsoft will be a huge plus and also to have the option of wearing them when glasses would be a PITA, such as our recent trip to Thorpe Park.

I now have an appointment next Tuesday for a “C/Lense Teach” which I presume is a session on how to get them in, adjust them so they’re sitting properly and then remove when needed.

I’m having daily disposables  as I’ll only be wearing them on occasion so that makes things easier overall as there’s no superfluous accessories to have to worry about, just take the old pair out, bin them and pop in a new pair the next time.

Dad needed a new car battery for his.. uhh car oddly enough, and as I have a Halfords Trade Card we decided to pop in and get a decent Bosch one with a 5 year Warranty on it.

Now this particular size of battery (075) is £114 in Halfords to Joe Public off the street, however if you happen to hold a Halfords discount card of some description it becomes £75.

Now although these are “Trade Prices” I can’t see Halfords selling them for the same price they get them for, so they’re still going to be making a profit.

So a word of warning people, they really are ripping you off on parts big time! If you can get to a local Motor Factor pop in and have a word with them, chances are you’ll get more off than going to Halfords (as Joe Public) and you can pretty much guarentee that you’ll be speaking to someone who knows a fair bit about what they’re selling…

I doubt they’ll be as cute as the cashier in Halfords though

I’ve been told in the past that I can be a bit random at times…

No kidding, really!?

As such I thought it probably about time that I dusted the blog off and started putting digital pen to paper (as it were)

I’m not going to promise daily updates or any real schedule – not that any of you care anyway – but I will try to hang around here a bit more often and get some of my thoughts “out there”
